Michael – When I was eight years old, a faithful Sunday School teacher, was sharing the Gospel in class. This time it hit me. That evening, I went to my mother and told her God was calling me to Him and she led me to the Lord right there. When I told the Pastor, he gave me assurance of Salvation and I was obedient to believer’s baptism.
God had been tugging at my heart all through my teens years but I wasn’t really sure what that meant. After I joined the Air Force, the call got louder. Until one day at a revival meeting in Texas, I went forward and told the Preacher, “God is calling me to preach and I don’t have a clue what to do!” I sat down with my Pastor and he guided me all the way through total surrender to the Lord’s will. Shortly thereafter, I became a Teen Sunday School teacher. Then the Youth Pastor/Assistant Pastor. All the while, I was enrolled in Faith Bible Institute and Liberty University where I got my degree. I served at Leon Valley Baptist Church for 6 years before heeding the call to take the Senior Pastor position at Valley Baptist Tabernacle in Palmer, Alaska where I served for 17 years.
Denise – I joined the military (Air Force) when I was 19 to better my future. Little did I know that God had a better future planned than I did. While I was stationed in Germany, and I met a young man, Michael Hull, whom I would later marry. Not long after I arrived at the base, Desert Storm kicked off and I was getting deployed. Due to the high possibility of danger, Michael wanted to make sure I knew Jesus. He shared the Gospel with me, and I accepted Christ as my Savior. I was baptized later at Rheinland Baptist Church.
We have three grown children and three grand-children (so far).
